Aspirants throng RO offices as nomination submission ends today

Nomination seekers are thronging the offices of returning officers across the country since morning as today is the last date for submission of nomination papers.

Aspirants under the Dhaka division started submitting their nomination papers at the RO’s office at Shegunbagicha from 10:00am, reports our staff correspondent.

The nomination papers will be scrutinised on December 2 while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is December 9 as per the new schedule announced by the Election Commission.

According to the Election Commission’s instruction, no nomination seeker can take more than seven supporters along with them while they are submitting the nomination papers to the returning officers’ offices and they also cannot hold any showdowns during or after the submission.
