An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League is killed and two others are injured during a factional clash in Chittagong city.

An activist of Bangladesh Chhtra League was killed and two others were injured during a factional clash in Chittagong city today.

Deceased Yasir Arafat, was an HSC student of Chittaong City College, Zahirul Islam, in-charge of the police outpost at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) told our local correspondent.

Two factions – one led by Yasir while another by Harun -- of local unit of the student front of ruling Awami League locked into the clash at Riazuddin Bazar area in the city over previous enmity this afternoon, our local correspondent reports quoting the police official.

Three activists including Yasir sustained injuries during the clash. Yasir was taken to CMCH where he succumbed around 3:45pm, he said.
