BNP denied rally permission; demo tomorrow

BNP will stage a nationwide demonstration across the country tomorrow as the party has been denied permission to hold its rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka today.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed announced the protest programme at a briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the afternoon.
On Monday, BNP sought permission from Dhaka Metropolitan Police for holding today’s rally at Suhrawardy Udyan but it was denied.
The party was scheduled to hold the rally protesting Saturday’s police raid at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office.
