BNP gets nod for Independence Day rally tomorrow

BNP has secured permission for holding a rally marking Bangladesh’s 48th Independence Day tomorrow.

The procession will begin at 2:00pm starting from Nayapaltan and will end at Shantinagar, Rizvi Ahmed, senior joint secretary general of the party, told The Daily Star this morning.

They got a verbal permission from Dhaka Metropolitan Police in this regard, he said.
