BNP preparing for 7th national council: Fakhrul

BNP is preparing for the seventh national council of the party, its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said today.

Fakhrul said this while talking to journalists after placing a wreath on the grave of the party founder President Ziaur Rahman in Dhaka.

“We have already begun institutional and reform activities in district level and pro-BNP organisations as part of the preparation,” said the senior leader.

Fakhrul placed the wreath on Zia’s grave around 11:00 am along with Vice-Chairman Selima Rahman and Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku who were recently appointed as members of the standing committee.

The sixth national council of BNP took place on March 19, 2016.
