BNP scraps 39 ward-level committees in Ctg

BNP today dissolved 39 ward-level committees in Chittagong as tenure of those committees expired at least five years ago.

Shahadat Hossain, president of newly formed committee of the city BNP unit, made the announcement at a press conference in the port city.

The rest of the 41 expired ward committees were not declared dissolved, Badsha said.

However, the BNP city unit formed convening committees of the 39 wards, reports our local correspondent.

Later BNP will hold councils for the ward committees.
