BNP to stage countrywide demo Monday

BNP will bring out processions across the country on Monday protesting the attack on their black flag demonstration programme in Dhaka.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today came up with the announcement at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters.

Condemning the attack, Rizvi alleged that police attacked on their peaceful programme without any provocation.

Earlier in the day, police allegedly used water cannons and charged batons on the BNP leaders and activists to foil their “black-flag” procession arranged to protest the denial of permission for holding a rally in Dhaka on Thursday.
