BNP to suffer hattrick defeat in next polls: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader says the Awami League will have a hattrick win while the BNP will suffer a hattrick defeat in the next national polls.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said the Awami League will have a hattrick win while the BNP will suffer a hattrick defeat in the next national polls.

"BNP has lost the trust of the common people as they didn't stand by the disaster affected people at different times," he told newsmen after placing wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the city on the occasion of the historic Six-Point Demand Day.

Quader said the present ruling party, Awami League, always stands by the people -- whether it is in power or not.

"BNP has lost trust as they didn't stand beside the people during their hard time," said Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister.
