BNP is to send a delegation to visit the victims in Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria where zealots ransacked temples and houses of Hindu community on Sunday.

A six-member team led by Mej (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, vice chairman of BNP, will visit the affected areas on Friday morning to find out facts behind the incident, Sayrul Kabir Khan, a press wing member of BNP Chief Khaleda Zia, told The Daily Star.

On Sunday, around 200 religious bigots attacked at least five temples, and vandalised and looted about 100 Hindu houses in several localities in Nasirnagar over a Facebook post purportedly from the account of one Rasraj Das. The attackers also beat up more than 100 people.
