BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia says the country is now passing through a tough time due to absence of democracy and cultural aggression of “colonial forces”.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today said the country is now passing through a tough time due to absence of democracy and cultural aggression of “colonial forces”.
“Hegemonic forces are carrying out aggression to destroy our cultural fabrics,” Khaleda said in a statement on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh.

Efforts are being hatched to erase the country’s history and heritage, Khaleda said. “We will have to be united to ensure the specific gravities of our culture and language.”
“But that democracy has been driven out from the society and the state aimed at turning a singularity nation,” she added.
