The upcoming parliamentary elections can be held in a fair manner under the partisan government only if all political parties, Election Commission and other stakeholders play a positive role, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) said today.
However, there is a lack of faith in the partisan government’s ability to hold a fair election, said TIB at a press conference at its office this afternoon.
TIB made the comments based on findings of a study on good governance and integrity in political parties in election manifesto.
According to the EC, the schedule for the next parliamentary polls will be announced any day after October 30.
