Khaleda to pay tribute to language martyrs at first hrs

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will pay tribute to the Language Movement martyrs at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka at the first hours on February 21.

Dhaka University authorities gave the permission after a delegation of BNP met Vice Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique in this regard this afternoon, Syrul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP chief’s media wing, told The Daily Star.

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia briefed media about VVIPs schedule of placing wreaths at Shaheed Minar.

As Khaleda’s name was not mentioned in the briefing, the BNP delegation sought permission from the Dhaka University authorities.
