Putul, Bobby won’t be councillors: AL leaders

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s daughter Saima Wazed Putul and Sheikh Rehana's son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby will not be Awami League councillors, sources say.

Putul will not be present at Awami League’s council scheduled to be held on October 22-23 in Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan as she will be abroad, party sources said.

On the other hand, Bobby cannot be councillor of the party according to the party rules for his job at United Nations Development Programme, sources said.

The party’s central leaders, a couple of days ago, claimed that they had made both these bloodlines of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as councillors. Both were expected to join the council.
