According to the Labour Force Survey 2022, only 27.29 per cent of persons with disabilities aged 15 and older were employed. Meanwhile, the National Survey on Persons with Disabilities 2021 suggests that the percentage is 33.78 per cent.

In 2023, the Oporajita - Collective Impact on the Future of Work in Bangladesh was launched as a collaborative effort involving multiple organizations, with funding from the H&M Foundation.
