Everyone Should Play Dota 2

Dota 2 is a game where you and four other digital wizards join forces to beat up the opposing squad of five digital wizards in an endless cycle of birth, violent death and rebirth. Games are often described as power fantasies, and an opportunity to behave in a way denied to you in the real world. Here's a list of things Dota 2 lets you pretend to be:

You can be an invisible, Swedish walrus who rolls into a giant snowball and punches someone out of the screen.  You can be a big red man with an axe who jumps in front of five angry digital wizards and demands that they drop everything and fight him instead, and they agree to this. You can play as the master of beasts, able to summon a pig and a pigeon.  In Dota 2 you can even raise a family and know the joys of motherhood.
