Finding the Red and Green in 3D

When I played Civilization as a kid, I literally had zero sense of history. What I did first was to make a new civilisation and name it Bangladesh. Whatever I played, it always had to be Bangladeshi because if I can't be Bangladeshi, then what? When Dhaka Racing first came out, my brother got a copy and we all hunched around the PC (including the neighbours), mesmerised by the sheer feat of the developers. A 3D video game by Bangladeshis set in Dhaka, that too in 2002! The game was so ahead of its (Bangladeshi) time that its aesthetics can rival a recent game that was much marketed. I only wish the original devs made Dhaka Racing 2. Even though we've come a long way in terms of IT, we still have light years left in terms of video games. With Steam Greenlight and a thriving indie scene, it should only be a matter of time before Bangladesh gets its own Witcher, Mount & Blade or S.T.A.L.K.E.R. If not now, when?
