Gaming Peripherals

While it is true that skill is more important in gaming than the tools you use to wage war in the virtual realm, gaming-centric peripherals grant you the advantages that you cannot do without. Suppose you're facing off against a player of equal calibre and he's using gaming gears while you're not. He'll basically beat you more often than not simply because of his equipment. This happens because he's using a mouse with an amazing sensor and that gives him more control over his aim. He's also using a mechanical keyboard which reduces the input lag on key presses, allowing him to execute his moves faster. Bottom line: gaming gears — not a necessity, but definitely a huge advantage.
