Review: This Bi-Lingual (Hindi and Tamil) film is destined to win the hearts of many, but to a certain extent, due to the predictability.
Adi Tomar's dream was to win the boxing gold for India. After being framed by his own coach, who spiked his gloves during a match, Adi's career was shattered. Disillusioned, Adi turned to a life of cynical self-destruction. Luckily, his determined friends manage to bring him back to boxing, as the coach of the lowly rated Indian women's boxing team. Adi spots a young woman with latent potential named Madhi from the fishing community. Through her, he plans to get the gold trophy he once deserved, for India. However, it is a race against time for Adi as he only has nine months before the championship. Not only would it be time consuming to gain her trust, but it would also be hard for him to convince her to opt for the trophy. Thus, he ends up paying her Rs. 500 everyday to train. Ritika Singh's performance is rather powerful for a newcomer. Even though the plot seems promising, there is little room for genuine surprises. Moreover, the frequency of over packed background score and songs are rather distracting.
