Calling all Anime buffs

For all the animation buffs out there, the Embassy of Japan and Bangladesh National Museum are jointly organizing the Japanese Animation film Festival, 2016.

For all the animation buffs out there, the Embassy of Japan and Bangladesh National Museum are jointly organizing the Japanese Animation film Festival, 2016. It will be held at the Bangladesh National Museum in the Main Auditorium from March 18th - 20th, between 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Sponsored by the Japan Foundation, it is an 'open for all' event.

The festival will showcase a vast array of animations from the year 1978 to 2010. Young or old, you are bound a find a match for your taste. Ranging from silent stop motion animation, to fully 3D-Computer Graphics animation, it will explore the diverse and labour-intensive art of animation, the contents of which will be entertaining or even philosophical and pose a compassionate message.

“Anime” is a Japanese style of animation. With its ever growing popularity, it has inspired other non-Japanese animations to adapt certain visual aspects of anime and is termed as 'Anime-influenced animation'.
