Happy Endings may have been canceled, but Elisha Cuthbert is going to be happy once again, snagging the lead in One Big Happy, an upcoming sitcom pilot produced by Ellen DeGeneres. In the multi-camera project, Lizzy (played by Happy Endings alum Cuthbert) and her straight male best friend Luke (2 Broke Girls' Nick Zano) live together and finally succeed in having a baby via artificial insemination — just as Luke meets and impulsively marries the love of his life. Besides the lesbian angle, the plot of One Big Happy sounds kind of similar to Friends With Kids, a movie that featured Adam Scott and Jennifer Westfeldt playing two friends who decided to have a kid together.
