Bangladesh pacers strike thrice early on Day 2

Bangladesh pacers had their tails up in the first hour of Day 2 with Nahid Rana and Hasan Mahmud making inroads and reducing Zimbabwe to 88-3 in the opening Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.

Rana first dismissed both openers with short-pitch deliveries, getting Ben Curran (18) caught at short leg and Brian Bennet (56) caught behind, afterwhich Hasan rattled the stumps of Nick Welch (two) with an in-swinging delivery.

Earlier, Zimbabwe had begun the day on 67-0, replying to Bangladesh's first innings tally of 191.

Zimbabwe now trail Bangladesh by 103 runs.
