NCL T20 tournament kicked off on Sunday amidst rain interruptions which saw the match between Rangpur and Sylhet at Bogura wiped out while only a five-over game was possible between Rajshahi and Dhaka Metro at Rajshahi.

Both matches today were set to begin at 9:00 am in the morning but heavy rain saw no action at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura. Crowds were expected and big numbers of tickets were sold as Bogura welcomed back cricket but wet outfield saw the game abandoned, leading to fans' frustration.

In Rajshahi, following rain, the Rajshahi and Dhaka Metro match began at 12:50 PM. The five-over affair saw Dhaka Metro win by seven wickets.

Sent to bat, Rajshahi lost early wickets with skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto departing for naught in the first over while other opener Habibur Rahman Sohan followed him back to the dug out for two in the next over.

Sabbir Rahman's 15-ball 33, laced with one four and three sixes and SM Meherob's 9-ball 15 helped Rajshahi to 60 for three in five overs. In reply, Metro skipper Mohammad Naim departed for seven but opener Mahfizul Islam Robin's 12-ball 30 with four fours and a six, sealed victory for Rajshahi.

Sources informed that ground conditions in Bogura were very poor due to the rain and the BCB press later announced in a press release that matches on September 15 and 16 which were to be played in Bogura, have been shifted to Rajshahi Division Stadium in Rajshahi.
