Top 10 buys in IPL auction

Ten Indian Premier League teams spent nearly $75.72 million to buy 182 players in a two-day auction that concluded Monday in Jeddah.

The  IPL Mega Auction extravaganza was completed after a dramatic two-day event at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah on Monday evening.

A total of 182 players were sold across two days with a whopping Rs 639.15 crore spent by the 10 franchises. Among them, 62 overseas players were sold across two days. Rishabh Pant (Rs 27 crore), Shreyas Iyer (Rs 26.75 crore), and Venkatesh Iyer (Rs 23.75 crore) took the big bucks while a few more surprises were in store.
