Bangladesh’s women cricket team has been given the green signal for upcoming Pakistan tour, a board official says.

Bangladesh’s women cricket team has been given the green signal for upcoming Pakistan tour, a board official said today.

“We heard the government has given the clearance,” said Jalal Yunus, director of Bangladesh Cricket Board. “An order has been issued”.

“However, we are yet to receive the letter. Hopefully we will receive it very soon,” he added.

For the last few weeks, the board had been awaiting a signal from the government for the tour. Meanwhile, the team is already training for the tour.

“We are waiting for our board president to return to the country. He will be arriving tomorrow. Once he is here, he will further hold discussions and then reveal the final decision,” Yunus said.

Sources say, if things proceed according to plan, the team will leave for Pakistan on September 27.
