Uttar Baridhara Club staged a come-back and held Arambagh KS to a 1-1 draw in their JB Bangladesh Premier League encounter at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh yesterday.

Senegalese hitman Camara Sarba scored the equaliser during the 53rd minute after Sajidur Rahman had put Arambagh ahead in the fourth minute of the match, which proved to be a keenly contested affair between two promoted outfits. The first meeting of the two sides in the league saw Arambagh edging the newcomers 2-1.

With their eighth draw in 14 matches, the charges of Saiful Bari Titu climbed up to the fifth position with 20 points while Uttar Baridhara and Feni Soccer Club share bottom place with 10 points.

Sajid scored the opener with a diagonal shot past Uttar Baridhara goalkeeper Razib after receiving a cut-back from Mansoor Amin. The lead lasted for the rest of the first half but Camara struck eight minutes after restart as he chested a cross from Monir Alam into control and finished with a brilliant left-footed bicycle kick.

Uttar Baridhara could have posted their fourth win had Brazilian recruit Lima and local player Sujan Biswas not squandered two easy opportunities within the first 15 minutes of the second half while Arambagh found a good opportunity to retake the lead in 75th minute but national winger Jafar Iqbal floated his shot over the crossbar after Mohammad Abdullah released the ball on the right flank.
