Fortis stun Kings in Federation Cup

Brothers, meanwhile, delivered a crushing 8-0 win over promoted Dhaka Wanderers Club in Mymensingh

Defending champions Bashundhara Kings suffered another setback this season as Fortis FC stunned the star-studded side with a 2-0 victory in their Federation Cup fixture in Dhaka on Tuesday.

After a goalless first half, Uzbekistan defender Jasur Jumaev broke the deadlock with a drop-header in the 71st minute at the Kings Arena. Fortis went 2-0 up seven minutes later as forward Mohammad Abdullah executed a clinical finish, leading to Kings' second defeat in five matches -- following their loss to Mohammedan SC in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match.
