Abahani defeat Mohammedan by 3-2 goals

Abahani defeated Mohammedan by a 3-2 scoreline to cut Mohammedan’s lead to zero in the Super Five stage of the Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium.

Tajuddin Sarkar opened the scoring for the Sky Blues in the second minute. Gurjinder Singh pulled Mohammedan level before Roman Sarkar handed Abahani the lead once again with a 20th minute strike. Gurjinder brought parity with his second goal in the 38th minute however, Roman scored the winner to ensure an Abahani victory.

With this victory, Abahani are now level on 36 points at the top with Mohammedan but latter have a game in hand.
