Bangladesh completed their World Archery Championships campaign on a frustrating note after the recurve archers exited from the elimination round in Gwangju, South Korea on Wednesday.

Experienced archers Ram Krishna Saha and Bonna Akter were the only archers to move into the third round in individual recurve and compound events respectively. Meanwhile, Asia Cup gold medallist Abdur Rahman Alif failed to qualify for the elimination round after finishing 111th among 154 participants with a score of 637 out of 720 in individual recurve event.

Earlier, compound archers including Himu Bacchar also put up a frustrating performance to get eliminated from the first round.

On Wednesday, Krishna beat Baptiste Addis of France 6-2 and Aaron Cox of Canada 6-0 before losing 6-4 to Eric Peters of Canada in the third round while Rakib Mia lost 6-0 to Aleksandre Machavariani of Georgia.

Bangladesh men's recurve team also suffered a 6-2 defeat to Indonesia in the first round.
