Mohammad Rakibul Hasan struck the all-important goal in the 19th minute. Bangladesh, however, had already confirmed their semifinal berth with consecutive wins over Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
The charges of Iman Gopinathan Krishnamurthy will play Saturday's semifinal against the runners-up from Pool A. Uzbekistan, Thailand and Hong Kong are in the run to seal the spot.
