A Bangladesh chess team including ten players left for Bangkok yesterday to take part in two seperate competitions, said a press release from the Bangladesh Chess Federation.

FIDE Mohammad Fahad Rahman, Subrota Biswas, Marzouq Chowdhury, Swarnavo Choudhury, Syed Ridwan, Manon Reja Neer, Jannatul Ferdous and Noshin Anjum will participate in different age-groups of the Asian Youth Chess Championships, which gets underway at the Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand today.

Meanwhile, WIM Rani Hamid and Warsia Khushbu will participate in two different categories of the Bangpai Age-Group Chess Championships, which will be held at the same place.

A total of 573 players from 29 Asian countries are participating in the two competitions, added the press release.
