Covid hits shooting team

Nilufar Yeasmin has been ruled out of the Indonesia-bound shooting team after returning positive for Covid-19.

The Bangladesh squad was scheduled to leave last night for Indonesia to take part in the ISSF Grand Prix, to be held from February 8 to 18 in Jakarta.

Apart from Nilufar, pistol shooter Shakil Ahmed and rifle shooter Yousuf Ali are not flying with the squad as well as Shakil is yet to complete the second dose of Covid-19 vaccination while Yousuf has a passport related issue. However, both of them are expectedly to fly by February 8.

Excluding Nilufar, a total of 11 shooters are scheduled to take part in men's and women's 10m, 50m rifle events and men's and women's 10m pistol events.
