Bangladesh golfer Jamal Mollah got off to a great start at the Panasonic Open India, carding a three-under-par (69) to take a share of the 14th position at the end of the first round yesterday.

The 32-year-old began in fine fashion, carding birdies on the third, sixth and seventh holes before returning his first bogey on the eleventh. However he made up for that transgression with another birdie on the 16th at the Delhi Golf Club.

India' Ajeetesh Sandhu held the solo lead in the US $400,000 event with an eight-under-par (64).
