KGC prepares for Bangladesh Open

As the Asian Tour (AT) season kicks off today in Singapore, the Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC) in Dhaka is gearing up for the second edition of the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open, to be held from February 10 to 13.

As the Asian Tour (AT) season kicks off today in Singapore, the Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC) in Dhaka is gearing up for the second edition of the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open, to be held from February 10 to 13.

Like the previous edition, there will be 25 professional and five amateur golfers from Bangladesh, apart from two-time AT winner Siddikur Rahman, featuring alongside some 132 golfers from approximately 25 countries, informed organisers at a press conference at the KGC yesterday.

The total prize-money of the event will remain 300,000 dollars and will be borne by the sponsors, informed organisers.

The press conference was presided over by the member of the tournament's media committee chairman, brigadier general (retd) Selim Akhtar, and was attended, among others, by the tournament committee chairman brigadier general (retd) Abidur Reza Khan.
