Golfer Siddikur Rahman fought back from three early bogeys with four late birdies to move into the final two rounds of the Resorts World Manila Masters event in Manila yesterday. The two-time Asian Tour winner, who started the second round at 26th position after a four-under (68) in the first round, put himself in a precarious position with three bogeys in the first ten holes. He was looking for a probable cut, two strokes behind the projected cut mark, before a late rally of birdies saw him safely through to the third round.

The 31-year-old golfer ended the day tied for 45th position, with an aggregate score of five-under (139), ten strokes behind the leader, Jyoti Randhawa of India.
