Premier kabaddi begins today

Bangladesh Police brought three Kenyan players while Oxford Premier Club roped in two Indian players in their respective squads, informed the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) joint secretary, Newas Shohag. This is only the second instance that premier league outfits signed up foreign players after Sonali Bank did the same long ago.

Except Bangladesh Army, 14 teams are going to take part in three different groups and the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Six phase, following which the top two teams will play for the title.

Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, the BKF president and director general of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), inaugurated the league yesterday.
