Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Diya Siddique of Bangladesh, though, registered their best efforts in the quarterfinals before suffering defeats against their Korean opponents.

Rubel offered little resistance against third-ranked Lee Seungyun in a 6-2 set points defeat in the quarterfinal. Rubel, however, had beaten country's top archer Ruman Sana by 6-4 set points in pre-quarterfinal to move into the last eight on such a big stage for the first time. The other local archer, Abdur Rahman Alif, lost 6-0 against second-ranked Kim Pil-Joong in Round of 16.

In women's individual recurve, Olympian Diya lost by 7-1 set points against fourth-ranked Jung Dasomi of South Korea. Diya had beaten fifth-ranked Ankita Bhakt of India 6-4 in the pre-quarterfinal. Nasrin Akter and Sraboni Akter suffered defeats in the second round while Beauty Roy lost in the first round of the event.
