Country's ace archer Ruman Sana disappointed all by bowing down to Indian teenage archer Mrinal Chauhan by 6-2 set points in the final of recurve individual event of Archery Asia Cup, Stage-2 in Suleymaniyah, Iraq on Wednesday.

Ruman, ranked 42nd in the world, performed poorly against Mrinal, who is currently out of world ranking. Ruman failed to put up a fight after reaching the final of an individual event for the first time in nearly three years. The lad from Khulna lost the first set by 28-26 points before drawing the next two sets 26-26 and 27-27. However, he lost the fourth set by 29-25 points.

Ruman's recurve men's team were also not up to the mark as they lost to Indian counterparts in 5-1 sets in the final and had to be content with a silver medal.

However, Bangladesh recurve women's team comprising Nasir Akhter, Beauty Roy and Diya Siddique performed much better despite losing the final against their Indian counterparts.

Following a 4-4 tie in four sets, the final set rolled into tiebreaker where the Bangladeshi trio and their Indian counterparts scored 29 out of 30 each, but the Indians were declared champions for having shot closest to the bull's eye.
