Shooters Shovon, Munna reach semis in Jakarta

Shovon Chowdhury and Rabbi Hasan Munna moved into the semifinals of men's 10m Air Rifle event in ISSF Grand Prix after finishing in the top eight in the qualification round in Jakarta today.

Shovon became fifth with a score of 620.8 while Munna finished sixth with a score of 620.3. Shovon and Munna will now play in the separate four-shooter group of semifinals, which have been introduced for the first time in shooting as earlier eight-shooter final round used to be held following the completion of the qualification round.

Following the completion of semifinals to be held tomorrow, the final featuring top two shooters from each group will also take place on the same day.
