Bangladesh's ace golfer Siddikur Rahman got off to a good start in the Queen's Cup, playing two-under-par 69 in the first round at Santiburi Samui Country Club in Koh Samui, Thailand yesterday.

Siddikur, who had produced a poor result in the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open on his home ground, played four birdies against two bogeys to finish joint 10th in the US$30,00,000 tournament.

Atthaphon Sriboonkaew of Thailand dominated the leaderboard after playing a five-under-par 66, followed by Sri Lankan Mithun Perera, who played four-under-par 67 to stay in the second position.

Seven players shared the third position with three-under-par 68.
