Siddikur Rahman made a decent start to the Maybank Championship in Malaysia with a two-under-par (69) in the opening round yesterday. The 31-year-old Bangladeshi golfer, who finished in joint 35th position in the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open last week, traded four birdies for two bogeys at the Royal Selangor Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday to take a share of the 31st position.
Australia's Nathan Holman fired a flawless seven-under-par (64) to seize the first round lead at the three-million dollar event, with Philippine's Angelo Que and five other golfers chasing the leader at six-under.
