Grand Master Ziaur Rahman maintained his second position in the Delhi Open Chess Tournament after beating Dutch GM Sergei Tiviakov in the ninth round at the IGI Stadium in New Delhi yesterday.

Grand Master Ziaur Rahman maintained his second position in the Delhi Open Chess Tournament after beating Dutch GM Sergei Tiviakov in the ninth round at the IGI Stadium in New Delhi yesterday.

Ziaur has 7.5 points from nine matches, just 0.5 points less than leader Naiditsch Arkadij of Azerbaijan, who beat Italian GM David Alberto in the ninth round.
