The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has recently allocated US$15,000 annual grant to Bangladesh Athletics Federation (BAF) after lifting the financial suspension on the local game's governing body.

The IAAF had suspended its annual allocation last year following non-submission of BAF's annual report to the sport's world governing body, but the newly formed ad-hoc committee later sent the annual financial reports and convinced the IAAF to withdraw its suspension.

“On Wednesday, we received US$15,000 from IAAF as this year's financial grant. We are also trying to get last year's allocation (US$12,000) which was suspended due to negligence of the previous committee,” BAF general secretary Abdur Rakib Montu told reporters yesterday.
