Bangla Tigers unveil logo

Abu Dhabi T10 franchise Bangla Tigers unveiled their logo during a ceremony in Chattogram on Saturday.

Bangla Tigers franchise owner Yasin Chowdhury was present alongside Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Mr AJM Nasir Uddin, who attended as chief guest.

“With direct patronisation from the Abu Dhabi government, the T10 league has emerged as one of the most exciting cricket tournaments in the world with participation of the leading cricketers in the world. Bangla Tigers are going to participate in the third season of the tournament with the aim to represent Bangladesh and promote Bangladesh cricketers,” Yasin said.

“I hope the newest format of cricket [T10] will play a significant role in the development of Bangladesh cricketers. We believe Bangladeshis all over the world are owners of Bangla Tigers and so I request their full support.”

Co-owner Shirajuddin emphasised the need to promote not only Bangladeshi cricketers, but also support staff.

“Following discussions with authorities, we came to the decision to promote team support staff from Bangladesh. We have already appointed former national cricketers Aftab Ahmed, Nafees Iqbal and Nazimuddin as head coach, manager and assistant coach respectively. Another former cricketer, Yasin Arafat, will also work as an assistant coach,” said Shirajuddin.

Bangla Tigers are the newest team in the Abu Dhabi T10, the only ten-over league officially sanctioned by the International Cricket Council.
