The Bangladesh team, comprising Ruman Sana and Beauty Roy, notched a hard-fought 5-4 sets win over Australia in the first round but they surrendered meekly to Chinese Taipei in the second round as the duo could not produce any resistance except for the first set, which they lost by one-point margin.

In compound mixed team event, Bangladesh team, comprising Sushmita Banik and Ashim Kumar, suffered a 151-137 points defeat to their Japanese counterparts.

Bangladesh will fight for bronze medal in men’s recurve team event on Sunday.
