BD’s maiden win in indoor hockey

Moinul Islam Koushik scored six goals to guide Bangladesh to their maiden win in Indoor Hockey Asia Cup in a massive 9-0 win against Philippines in their third pool match in Chonburi, Thailand yesterday.

Bangladesh took a comfortable 6-0 lead in the first half against Phillipines, with Koushik scoring four goals and Ashraful Islam and Rasel Mahmud Jimmy getting one each.

Bangladesh added three more goals after break, with Koushik scoring twice and Jimmy hitting the board once.

Bangladesh will play their fourth and final pool match against Thailand today.
