BOA pledges to vaccinate all Tokyo Olympics participants

The Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) today ensured that all Bangladeshi participants travelling to Japan for Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics will be vaccinated against Covid-19 as per the requirements of the Japanese government, Tokyo Organising Committee and International Olympic Committee.
"Recognising the country entry requirements that have recently been put in place by the Japanese government for the residents of Bangladesh to enter Japan, we, the Bangladesh Olympic Association, want to make clear our ongoing commitment and contribution to the safe conduct of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games with respect to the rules set forth by the Government of Japan, Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, and International Olympic Committee.
"To this end, and in the interest of public health and solidarity with the Japanese people, the Bangladesh Olympic Association pledges that all Tokyo Olympic Games participants travelling to Japan for the purposes of the Olympic & Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, will be fully vaccinated in advance of their travel to Japan," said in BOA statement today.
It also added, "We believe this pledge will help ensure public confidence in the rigorous approach that Bangladesh Olympic Association is taking to guarantee that the Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Games will be conducted in the safest and most secure manner possible."
