Usain Bolt has signed for Manchester United to play a charity football match against Barcelona. The lifelong Red Devil is set to make his first appearance since retiring from athletics to line up alongside legends Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes at Old Trafford on September 2. He has always stated his wishes to play football 'at any level' and his dream will be coming true as he takes the field alongside Champions League winners Andy Cole, Edwin van der Sar, Jesper Blomqvist, Denis Irwin, Ronny Johnsen, Dwight Yorke, Wes Brown and Phil Neville. The Manchester United team will be managed by former captain Bryan Robson while  The Barcelona side will be managed by Jose Mari Bakero and the greats to feature in the game in aid of the Manchester United Foundation include Gaizka Mendieta, Eric Abidal, Migel Angel Nadal and Gheorghe Popescu. However, after pulling his hamstring in his final race at the World Championships in London on Saturday, the 30-year-old athlete might not be fit in time to realise his dream. —Agencies
