Bangladesh Archery Federation's general secretary Kazi Razib Uddin Ahmed Chapal has been elected as one of the three vice-presidents of World Archery Asia (WAA) when the congress of the sporting body was held in the capital yesterday on the eve of the 20th Asian Archery Championships.

Chapal got highest 28 votes out of 32 to be elected first vice-president while five other archery organisers -- Mahfuzur Rahman Siddique, Anisur Rahman Dipu, Rashiduzzaman Serniabat, Faruque Dhali, Dr Ehsanul Karim -- were elected either as members or chairmen of different sub-committees.
