DNCC Mayor Cup begins

With an aim to encourage the youth to engage in different sporting activities and keep them away from drugs, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Cup began today at the Bangladesh Army Stadium. 

Following a colorful opening ceremony, Ward 33 registered a 3-0 victory over Ward 37 in the opening football match of the tournament. 

Honorable Mayor of DNCC Atiqul Islam presided over the inaugural function. 

The event will see a total of 54 teams from DNCC wards and reserved women's councilors participate in three different disciplines -- Football, Cricket and Volleyball.
