Handball official's mother passes away

Begum Khairun Nesa, mother of Jahangir Hossain -- the treasurer of Bangladesh Handball Federation, passed away at a hospital in the capital yesterday. 

She was 85. The deceased left behind three sons, two daughters and a host of well-wishers to mourn her death.

She was buried at her huband Fazlul Haque's grave in Azimpur on Friday afternoon after her namaz-e-janaza was held at the Malibagh Jam-e-Mosque. 

Bangladesh Handball Federation and other organisations mourned the passing away of Begum Khairun Nesa, who was born in Faridpur.
